Travel inspiration in Paris and Turin
Paris, the capital of France
One of the world’s greatest cities, Paris! The capital of France is also known as the City of Light. This enchanting city, at the crossroads of cultures, is the capital of fashion and home to world highlights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Avenue des Champs Elysées, to name but a few. In terms of architectural beauty, art history, events, gastronomy and sheer extravagance, Paris is a milestone ahead of any other city on earth. Paris has one of the world’s most extensive public transport systems. You can take a taxi if you are not much of an adventurer, but that would be a pity! Metro (subway or underground), buses and city bicycles are much more fun and are very easy to use, even for beginners.
Turin, an unforgettable experience
Wide streets and 17th-century buildings are surrounded by snow-capped mountains in Turin, dubbed the Capital of the Alps. This wealthy Italian city is a centre for industry, fashion and the arts, with a football-mad population who split their rabid loyalty between giants Juventus and Torino.
Reviews & ratings Paris - Turin
The train is comfortable although it is worth considering not have wi-fi while traveling and no projection of a movie as it is a long trip (Paris-Turin)
it's expensive, but more convenient than the plane.
Our trip on the Eurrail system was wonderful. The train was on time. The accommodations were clean and well maintained. Our rail journey was a wonderful part of out holiday.
For me train tends to be the better alternative to driving long distances and flying. My family and I went on a journey through Europe by train which was a wonderful ride from start to finish. The ride from Paris to Torino was a a perfectly fine experience. Comfy seats, food/bar car, all seems good to me. The train was fast, clean, and modern. Booking service was excellent as it was simple and easy. I am looking forward to go by this train again and would recommend this experience to anyone.
The train was on time, clean, quiet, and smooth. The food service, selection, and quality were all very good. We were totally pleased!
The view out of the window is what makes this train ride special. The train glides through the countryside, the changes outside keep you looking out the window. Unfortunately for us we travelled on a day when everyone wanted to travel and the train was completely full. the luggage rack was completely full, the noise level in the carriages was very high, and we couldn't relax as much as we would like to.
I love to travel on trains. Going from Paris to Turin was very special. I recommend it.
Trains are exactly very new . Interior seating too wasn't as comfy or new. Run-down Food wasn't served free. Had to purchase . Wasn't much variety and the risotto wasnt great . Pre-packed heated up stuff
Our TGV trip from Torino to Paris was excellent, with beautiful scenery, acceptable food, a very comfortable ride, and convenient connections at both ends of the trip.. My only issue was the signage at Paris' Gare du Nord, which was less than helpful. Other than that, the ride was just what we needed to finish off our Italian vacation.
We had a very good trip on this busy train although we would have preferred better seats with a window (we only had a small section of a window through which to view the scenery). No complaints otherwise.
It was pretty much an enjoyable one and we did have quite a wonderful time - It was quite scenic and the kids enjoyed the beauty of the terrain as well. Even though we traveled first class, the seating was not as comfortable as we expected, this was the only hitch especially considering the long journey. With that exception it was truly a memorable trip.
Everything was fine except for the announcements you couldn't hear very well in our car. Maybe something wasn't working right. I would suggest an electric screen in the car so you could see the stations or the speed the train has or even some information about the route you travel. Anyway thank you for a wonderful trip.
Overland travel with rail gave us opportunity to see the scenic view of countries visited.
i have been very satisfied with the service. did not have any issue with punctuality.
