Reviews & ratings Dijon - Beaune

  • "Train from Lyon to Dijon"
Everything was just great! We travelled around France and I had a choice: to rent a car or to use local trains. I have choosen to travel by train and we are absolutely satisfied with this decision. It was comfortable, convenient and in full accordance with the schedule.
  • "Clean, comfortable, confusing "
Being in Europe has been my first experience With any railway systems. I found the trains a bit confusing as the sign wouldnt state All of the stops on the trip, only the final desitination. So when my train from Paris -Dijon Ville actually said paris-Zurich on the sign I was a bit concerned that something had been Changed and it wouldn't stop, but everything was fine. Trains were plenty comfortable and fast. No complaints there.
  • "overall good"
Good experience except there is not enough space for luggage while getting on the TGV. Everyone is stuck with their heavy suitcase wondering how to get to their seats. The price doubled between the time I checked it online and booked it a few hours later and 60 euros for 1.5 hours seems quite expensive! The ride was comfortable and on time. The bar is quite expensive and there is only one waitress so she was extremely busy for the first hour with at least 10 people waiting while she has to prepare the food, take the orders and do the cash register.
  • "really eficient"
its a good way to travel, is very accesible, you can enjoy de view, is puntual and very fast ans safe. I totally recomend it
  • "Inconvenient"
This train was stopped at a station before it reached St Malo due to a problem with the track ahead. We were kept sitting in the train for some time - at least half an hour - before suddenly everyone started getting off. We do not speak French and struggled to understand what was going on. We collected our luggage and followed other passengers to the Bus Station where we again waited some time - at least 20 minutes - before buses came to transport us the rest of the journey to St Malo. We had to ask staff to explain what was happening in English as there was little consideration for passengers who did not speak French. Water was handed to passengers as they embarked on the buses. We were especially disappointed as we only had a little more than 24 hours to spend in St Malo and lost at least 1 1/2 hours of that time because of the additional travel time caused by the delay. We were handed forms to fill in to receive compensation for the inconvenience caused but have yet to establish if we will have part of the cost of the fare reimbursed. We appreciated the fact this was offered.
