Reviews & ratings Bordeaux - Carcassonne
It was very fast and comfortable by TVG train pleasant trip for just 20 eur.from beautiful Bordeaux to medieval town-museum Carcassonne.
I would rate highly the speed and comfort of the French TGV..much less stressful than driving. We have chosen to travel by train around the whole of France and would do so again. However a couple of negatives. These trains which were formerly renown for their pinpoint time accuracy are frequently "en retard" which can create a scramble at the other end if you have a connection You are your own luggage handler. Baggage is bundled into/ onto racks at the end of each carriage and there is no help with this unless from fellow passengers.i And last but not least on these trips the state of the on board toilets leaves a lot to be desired..You may be advised to have tissues / hand sanitizer with you.
