The national railway company of Montenegro is known as Željeznička Infrastruktura Crne Gore (ŽICG). Montenegro has just 250 km of railway network, one of the smallest railway networks in Europe. Arrive by train to the capital Podgorica, where a third of Montenegrin’s live. Enjoy the diverse history with colonnades and aqueducts of antique civilisations, as well as minarets and Turkish spas remaining from the Ottoman Empire. You’ll find medieval Christian architecture and painting on one side, and modern urban architecture on the other. For museums and galleries the capital of history, Cetinje is a better bet than the capital.

Each region is proud of its homemade cheese production so travel around to find your favourite, and the rich wine is the product of idyllic sunny vineyards.

Visit Mogren Beach, it’s made of two 80m long beaches connected with a tunnel. It’s only 150m away from old Budva city and has a beach bar and scuba diving club.
